I had a fabulous weekend! It was my Spring Scrapbook Retreat that I organize along with two other CM consultants for our customers. This time we started it at noon on Friday so us consultants decided to get there Thursday night and set up. I love, love, love these retreats. I just think it is so much fun to get together with lots of other scrapbookers and, well, scrapbook. The pattern for these retreats seem to follow this: scrapbook, eat, scrapbook, eat, scrapbook, oh sleep a little, scrapbook, eat, well, you get the idea. Of course, we can't pass up the wonderful food that is cooked for us. Yummmm! Once I enter the gates of the camp where we have it, it becomes a "no makeup, no diet zone"! I always do the goody bags so there is something handmade each time either in them or on them. This time I made post-it note clipboards. They were so cute. I did not think of this idea myself. I surfed thru SCS gallery and came across several designs for them. These are the ones I came up with.
Supplies: drink coasters, binder clips, ribbon, card stock, pattern paper, corner rounder.
I found coasters at Dollar Tree in packs of 6. These were 4x4 in size. I cut the pattern paper for the front and a solid color cs for the back. I rounder the corners to match the coaster. I cut a small piece of paper to cover the front of the clip and tied 3-4 different ribbons/fibers to it. I used a half of post it note pad for each one. I also added a small sentiment. "happy day" at the bottom. Easy, Easy gift!
