Boo Crew on a Road Trip and Under the Sea

I did three border sets for a swap hosted by jknorp on SCS. It was a Cricut border swap so some of the elements had to be made using the Cricut.

My Boo Crew halloween border set. These little guys are so cute. I used the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge for the cat, ghost, mummy, spider and treat bag. The title is using the Pooh font cartridge. I added wiggly eyes to the cat and a white gel pen for the spider's eyes. I chalked the mummy with a brown color chalk to show the wrappings cuts. For the treat bag I first used the cricut black marker and then cut it out. I cut a narrow wavy strip for the spider to hang from and embossed it with silver embossing powder. I double layered the title .

The Jewes of the Sea border set looks better IRL. The paper I used for the shells, sea horses, coral and fish is shimmery, which doesn't show up in the photo. The wave on the border and one photo mat and the fish are from Paper Dolls for Everyday. The shell, sea horse and coral are from Paper Doll Dress Up. The title is the Alphalicious font. Of course the sea horse and fish needed wiggly eyes.

I love the paper I used for the Road Trip border set. I added buttons on one end of each border. The car, plane and pillow are from Paper Dolls for Everyday. The suitcase is from Paper Doll Dress Up. The journal box is from the George cartridge. You wouldn't think of a pillow for a road trip set but I always take my own pillow when I travel. I used the cricut markers for the pillow but messed up and unloaded it before I cut it. I re-loaded the mat and then cut it but the cut was slightly off. I actually like how it turned out though.
Thanks for stopping by to look at what I've been doing. I have 3 more swaps to finish over the next 3 weeks so check back and see what I have created for them.

Scrapbook Border sets

I have busy busy making border sets for a swap on SCS hosted by mysweetsix. I had four spots so made 4 different sets.

This set was for 4th of July. I used the Jubilee cartridge for the title and the cricut markers to outline it before cutting it out. I used Creative Memories' star punch for the stars on the bottom border and the loose stars. I attached the ribbon with red staples. The tiny stars on the top border are brads and eyelet stars on the bottom corner of the journal box. The fireworks bursts are glittered for some sparkle.

I used these cartridges for the Easter set:

EGG ART - Pooh Font
Basket - Doodlecharms
Eggs - Doodlecharms
grass (on title) - Everyday Paper Dolls
paint brush - Stretch Your Imagination

I love how this set turned out! I used the following cartridges:

Title - Lyrical Letters (love this cartridge - a must have)
butterfly - Pooh and Friends
basket - Everyday Paper Dolls
journal frame - Pooh and Friends

I used Creative Memories Daisy punch on each of of the top border's green strip. I added ribbon to the bottom border and a flower with a pearl in the center. The flowers in the basket were punched with Creative Memories Micro Meadow punch. The green photo mat has a scallop border on one edge made with SU's scallop border punch.

This last set is for a new teen driver. I will have one of those very soon so I thought it would be a great set to do. I struggled with this set as much as I have struggled with resisting this time in her life! Again I used my cricut for the cut outs.
roadway - Everyday Paper Dolls
Stop sign - George cartridge & Mickey Font
car - Mickey and Friends
cones - Everyday Paper Dolls (there is also a sign that cuts with the cone but I hid it using Design Studio so it wouldn't cut)
Title on border and title on journal box/ license - Base Camp
The journal box has a cut out for a photo like a regular license. The stop sign is three layers in graduated sizes. I cut the letters out of the top red layer so the white layer shows thru. The letters that were cut out are the ones beside the journal box.
