Mummy treat box

Happy Halloween a little early!  We started on treat projects for Halloween at my September playday by making this cute Mummy box   Aren't these just adorable.  This is not my design.  I saw it on Stampin Up's demonstrator's forum website.  It was posted by Sarah Yuhasz.  I couldn't find a blog to link to but I'm giving her credit here.

I made a modified version of the 2-5-7-10 box from Splitcoast Stampers found here.  I cut my paper 6 1/2"x11" and scored it on the 6 1/2" side at 1 1/2" then scored on the 11" side at 2, 5, 7, and 10".

Directions for Mummy:  I cut five 1x5" strips of  Very Vanilla cs and sponged the long edges with Crumb Cake.   The eyes are cut as follows: Elegant Eggplant with 1 3/8" circle punch, Whisper White with 1 1/4" circle punch, and Basic Black with 1/2" circle punch.   Assemble eyes and make red eye lines with Real Red marker and a white highlight on the pupil.   Adhere eyes to a piece of Very Vanilla (mine was 5 1/2 x 4 1/4) and then add sponged strips, overlapping some.  Cut with Big Shot and Top Note die.  Sponge edges all around with Crumb Cake.   Ta da!  You have a mummy!

I love this project and so did everyone that made it at playday!
