SU Stars Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin Up Stars Fall Blog Hop!  You should have come from Denise Foor's blog. Wasn't her fall project great!   If this is your first stop, not a problem, just jump on and enjoy!

I have a fabulous fall scrapbook page spread and fall card to share with you today.  First the scrapbook pages.  I used the woodgrain embossing folder for the fence and the extra large oval punch, 1 3/8" circle punch and 1 1/4" circle punch for the pumpkins.  I used the branch from the Bird Builder punch for the pumpkin vines.

To make the pumpkins, punch three of the shapes and sponge the edges then layer.  Very easy but oh so cute!  The nails on the fence was the 1/16" punch.  I also lightly sponged the fence to bring out the woodgrain.  You could also use the new Core'dinations paper in the Holiday catalog for the fence and lightly sand it.   The letters were cut with my Cricut.

This is a very easy fall card to make.  I punched 1 1/4" squares from three of the prints from Comfort Cafe DSP.  I placed them on Early Espresso cs and embossed with the Square Lattice folder.  It was adhered to Saraha Sand base.  The sentiment is from Seasonal Sayings in the Holiday Catalog and stamped in Cajun Craze.

I hope you enjoyed my projects today.  Now hop on over to Jackie Watson's page here and check out her vintage project!  It is fabulous!

Halloween treats

Today's share is a Halloween treat holder.  This particular type of holder is called a sour cream container.  They are very easy to make.

I stamped the bats stamp from the Wicked Cool set onto dsp from the Regals DSP stack.
The pumpkin and hat are from the Jack of All Trades set.  I tied the scalloped circle onto the container with Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta ribbon.
These containers are great for small gifts such as jewelry, baby shower favors or wedding favors.

Supplies:
Stamp sets:  Wicked Cool, Jack of All Trades
Ink: Black Stazon, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Regals DSP stack, Whisper White, Basic Grey

Floral District cards

I have a couple of cards to share today.   They both used the dsp, Floral District.  I sometimes have trouble using dsp that is a bold or large print so I've found that small portions usually work best.  I simply cut a 5 1/4"x4" piece and cut a diagnol.  So now I have another piece to use on another card.

The Rich Razzleberry cs was embossed with the stripes embossing folder but it's hard to tell form the photos.

Supplies:
Stamp sets: Four Frames, Delightful Dozen, Elementary Elegance (retired SAB)
Ink:  Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade
Paper:  Floral District dsp, Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Other:  Big Shot, Stripes EF, Decorative Label punch, Scallop Edge Border punch, dimensionals

Have you heard?  For a limited time, you can get individual stamps from three of teh word sets. This is something Stampin Up is trying out.  The word sets are Word Play, Perfectly Penned, and Seasonal Sayings.  You can find the individual stamp prices and order numbers here.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed my projects today and are inspired to get inky! Please take a moment to say hi before you leave.

Polka Dot Birthday

This is a card some of my customers made a couple months ago.  It's a simple but great birthday card for anyone.  I LOVE the Polka Dot Parade DSP!

The stamp is from Bring On The Cake stamp set and colored in with Real Red, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Marina Mist.  The Real Red strip is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder.   A tip for making the banner - use the square punch to cut the 'V' in the bottom.

Supplies:
Stamp set:  Bring on the Cake
Ink: Basic Grey, Real Red, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Polka Dot Parade DSP

Pumpkin box

An idea hit me today on how to make a pumpkin box like the mummy box I posted last week.  If you didn't see it, you can find the post here.  It is an adorable mummy!  It also fit perfectly for this week's LNS challenge to make a Halloween project.  Anyway, I headed to my craft studio and started working on it.  This is what I came up with.
Isn't it adorable!  How did I do it you ask?  I cut a piece of pumpkin pie with the Adorning Accents edgelit die.  I cut one side and then flipped the die and cut again to give the curved look.  The curved part is the middle section of the edgelit die.  I sponged this part with pumpkin pie ink before adhering that piece to another piece of pumpkin pie lining it up so the curve ends at the bottom of the top note, and cut with the top note die.   Clear as mud right?   I sponged the edges of the cut piece with pumpkin pie ink.  The leaves were cut with the Autumn Accents Bigz die and embossed with the Wood Grain embossing folder.   The eyes are 1/2" circle punch with a white highlight.   I used the Round Tab punch.

Here is how I used the punch to make the mouth.

A happy smile!

Supplies:
ink:  Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Basic black
Other: Early Espresso 1/8" taffeta ribbon  Big Shot, Top Note die, wood grain embossing folder, Adorning Accents edgelit die,  1/2" circle punch, round tab punch, sponges

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you liked my happy pumpkin!

Sea Shells by the Sea Shore

I was a scrapper before a stamper and it has been difficult for me to combine the two.  I am challenging myself to do that though.  I took my two girls plus a friend each to the beach this summer. Yep, me and FOUR teenage girls!  They were great though.  I was so ready to feel the sand between my toes that I had to make this scrapbook page before we left for the beach.  I got this stamp set, By the Seashore, specifically for beach pages.

I used Baja Breeze for the base but the photo doesn't look like it.  The shells were stamped on Sahara Sand cs in Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, More Mustard and Cajun Craze.  I used the masking technique for all the shells.  The crab was stamped a second time, cut out and popped up on top of the one in the border.  The three shells in the top corner are popped up also.  Now, to get some photos printed and put on the page.

Supplies:
Stamp set:  By the Seashore
Ink: Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, More Mustard, Cajun Craze
paper: Soft Suede, Baja Breeze and Sahara Sand
Other: dimensionals
