Pumpkin Indigo Mosiac Madness

I love the Mosiac Madness stamp set and it's even better that there is a punch AND embossing folder to match!  Love it when Stampin Up does this!
This card was inspired by SU demonstrator Diane Vander Galien (her card was inspired by Demo Janet Hill)  I used a whisper white card base layered with Island Indigo (so happy that color is in the new line up!) and then another layer of whisper white.  I adhered a 2" wide banner flag in Island Indigo to the WW cs and embossed with the Mosiac Madness embossing folder.  Then added a banner flag in pumpkin pie dsp from the Quatrefancy DSP pack and a Silver Glimmer flag.  Stamped image in Island Indigo and Pumpkin pie and added silver brads in the center. These were popped up with dimensionals.  The Happy Birthday is from Itty Bitty Banners and cut with matching framelit. This was a card we did at my June playday.  I pre-cut the flags and below is a card I made with the pieces from the notch that was cut.
A cute Happy birthday card using leftovers.  I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig and Fabulous Phrases for the Happy Birthday.

Magical Masking Tape technique

A couple of weeks ago I saw a technique used on a card that was really cool.  Here is the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers.  It uses masking tape or painter's tape.  I used the green Frog Tape for my card.

I love this technique and plan on using it a lot more.  The ink colors are Pool Party, So Saffron and Wild Wasabi.  The card stock is Wild Wasabi and Whisper White.  I stamped the image from Thoughts & Prayers and embossed with black embossing powder. The tape may leave some residue on the paper when removed so if you emboss, be sure to use the embossing buddy before stamping.  I forgot on my first card and had black powder stuck along the edges of the inked strips.

SUO #66 - Easter

I love this stamp!  It is one of the single stamps available with Stampin' Up.  Those little bunnies are adorable.  This is for SUO challenge #66.
The base is Crumb Cake embossed with the Polka Dot embossing folder.  I inked the bunnies using the Island Indigo, Primrose Petals, and Summer Starfruit markers.  They are cut out with the new oval framelits in the Spring mini catalog.  The dp is from Birds of a Feather DSP.  The 'Happy Easter' on the right card is from Delightful Dozens stamp set.  A little Summer Starfruit ribbon tied to it and it's done.

Mojo Color Throwdown

I wanted to play yesterday so I went looking for inspiration.  Card challenge blogs are always a great source to get you started.  I have a list of a few on the left side if you need some inspiration.  This card was for Mojo Monday #284 (sketch) and Color Throwdown CTD233 (certainly celery, crumb cake, pink pirouette, and pumpkin pie).
The stamp is from Easy Events.  I embossed the certainly celery cs with the Polka Dot embossing folder.  The dp is from the Subtles stack.  I added Pumpkin Pie ribbon, flowers from Boho Blossoms punch and pearls finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by!  I love to read your comments so please say hi!

LNS challenge 214 - Masculine Cards

Masculine cards are always hard for me to make.  I end up making it more girly.  I think this one works for a guy though.  It is for the LNS challenge 214 - to make a masculine card.
Happy Birthday was stamped in Calypso Coral, punched out and popped up with dimensionals onto the ribbon stamped in Island Indigo.  The dp is from World Spectacular DSP paper pack. Quick and easy card for the birthday boy (or girl).
Thanks for stopping by!  I would love to know what you think.

Isn't this whale adorable?  I love this set, Oh Whale.   The Cloudy Day embossing folder too.  There are so many possibilities with these.
I embossed Bashful Blue cs and added DSP from the Sunshine and Sprinkls DSP pack.  This is matted on Basic Gray cs and Basic Gray ribbon tied around it.  The whale is stamped in Island Indigo and cut with the Happy Whale clearlit.

I know it's a day after Valentine's but I have one more project to share.  We made this card last month at my playdays.
The base is Basic Gray cs.  It is embossed with the Polka Dot embossing folder.   The large squares are whisper white and Primrose Petals. The small squares are punched with the postage punch from More Amore DSP.  The heart is cut with the small heart from Hearts A Flutter framelits.

Chocolate Love

I purchased the Xlarge Hershey bars for my daughters for Valentine's Day and made them all spiffy.

I used the More Amore specialty DSP, Pool Party cs and Real Red cs.  The hearts are stamped with the Hearts A Flutter stamp set.  The banner is cut with the Hearts A Flutter framelit dies.   The circle is from an retired set, PS I Love You.

I wrapped this bar with Pool Party cs, and DSP from last years SAB (love this paper).   I stamped the dress from the new All Dressed Up set in Lucky Limeade and cut it with the framelits.  I cut a second dress and cut it at the waist to make a cardigan.  The message is from the retired set, PS I Love You.   The ribbon is Calypso Coral.

Celebrate Sentimental

This is one of the projects my customers made this month at my playdays.  I love this stamp set! I cased a card from fellow SU demonstrator, Nanci Siegrist.  I couldn't find a blog for her to link to but wanted to give her credit for the inspiration.  This card also meets the challenge requirements for LateNight Stampers weekly challenge #210
I used Very Vanilla cs and Early Espresso cs and stamped in Early Espresso.  I also sponged all the edges with Early Espresso to give it an aged look to match the bicycle stamp.
Did I mention that this stamp set is FREE?  Yep,it's a Sale-A-Bration stamp set and through March 22, you can receive it FREE with a $50 purchase!  There are lots of other FREE SAB product too, so be sure to check it out.

Conversation Hearts for a Sweet Friend

To start off my showcase of Valentine's projects, I have a sweet treat to share. This is a project the ladies that attended my playdays this month made.  I picked up boxes of the conversation hearts candies and we dressed them up with fabulous Stampin' Up products.
We used Pool Party cardstock to cover the box on three sides.   I used our wonderful Sticky Strip (red tape) to adhere the box to the cardstock.  A strip of Riding Hood Red 3/8" taffeta ribbon was added to the front and back and then covered with dp from More Amore DSP in the Spring mini catalog.  I cut out a heart from the laser cut hearts sheet from the same DSP pack.  The 'Sweet Friend' sentiment is from the You Are Loved stamp set and it was punched with the Modern Label punch and popped up with dimensionals.

Here it is opened.   Now, wouldn't you rather received this dressed up version instead of just the plain box?
I hope you enjoyed today's project and I would to hear what you think about it.  Thanks for stopping by!
